Valve alternatives

Hello, I was wondering if I could use a different model of valve given the difficult nature of plugging up one of the ports. Could I use a 2-port valve instead? Is there a specific feature/benefit that the S070 valve has that a 2-port valve does not, other than maybe them stacking together neatly? I am looking at a S090 model and am wondering if this would work. It would not require one of the ports to be plugged up but I don't know if there is something that I'm missing. Thank you!
